Brief overview of EPiFramework

Although the name is still up for debate, criticism and suggestions, the framework is intended to extend EPiServer core functionality with features common for a lot of different websites. The goal is to reduce repetitive tasks and include features that may often be left out due to budget or time constraints.

Here’s the description as published in the EPiServer Partner Summit session agenda:

Walkthrough of an upcoming open-source framework which accelerates EPiServer 6 development. The framework comes with base classes for common page types using Page Type Builder, Microsoft Live Writer support, blog features such as date folder sorting, tags, RSS feeds, and much more aimed at reducing repetitive tasks during development. No slides, some EPiServer UI and plenty of Visual Studio.
